By any measure, it is necessarily true that half of all people fall below average. So, half of all professional football players fall below whatever the average is for professional football players, half of all nuclear physicists fall below average as well. Half of all university professors fall below average, half of all mothers are below average care-givers, half of all people are below average in their ability to think well and clearly.

Everyone you will interact with today is below average in many respects. Before you accept as true anything that anyone says, you might want to remind yourself of that.
